As the performance of the IBM Power processor continues to grow, many companies are finding they don’t need a full processor to meet their business needs. With our cloud solution, we can configure an LPAR with the specific CPU, memory and storage resources you need today and then grow those resources as business requirements change.
High Performance Storage
To enhance the performance of your application, we have implemented a Fiber backbone between our IBM Power servers and our IBM Flash storage SANs. This fiber backbone and flash storage combine for faster I/O, recovery and backup. Customers often report improved application performance after migrating to the cloud.
Production Data Replication
Your data is stored on an IBM SAN that replicates to secondary IBM SAN at a geographically diverse data center. This happens as close to real-time as possible providing two copies of production data and reducing the chances of data loss. In addition, the primary SAN is “XXXXX” to a third IBM SAN that is on prem and can provide instant failover in the event the primary SAN fails. This SAN configuration provides 100% data availability and helps prevent data loss.
Enhanced Data Backup and Recovery
Data backup is included with all cloud hosting implementations. We work with you to implement your backup schedule in our environment Utilizing Cybernetics Virtual Tape Libraries (VTLs), the primary SAN is backed up to a VTL on a nightly basis creating a third copy of your data. This VTL will dedupe, compress and encrypt your data before replicating it to our geographically diverse data center where it is stored as an immutable backup. VTLs provide faster backups than tape, reducing your backup window, and faster recovery than tape. This backup strategy guarantees that in the event of a disaster, we have a secure copy of your data from which to recover.
Robust Network Infrastructure
Our business is keeping your business up and running. To do this our network infrastructure has to be fully redundant and self-healing. We have high-speed internet connections from multiple providers, entering the facility from diverse locations. Once inside, we terminate into hardware that immediately creates diverse paths from the telco d-mark to the servers in the racks. Those diverse connections aren’t just in the data center, we utilize the same philosophy between our data centers, ensuring they are always connected.
Secure, Reliable, Resilient Environment
The Racksquared Data Center’s are everything you would expect from a data center. Our environment is designed with a minimum of an N+1 configuration to ensure that in the event of a failure, your business continues to run without interruption. When it comes to security, we combine physical and logical security, with processes, procedures and policies that protect our business and yours. Annual 3rd party audits are performed to make sure we maintain SOC2, HIPPA and PCI compliance.
Tried and True Migration Process
If the fear of migration is holding you back, know that we have a staff of subject matter experts to lead the process. Our team of network, storage, and Windows admins are here to make this process go smoothly. We have migrated customers in as little as a few days and as much as a few months, all depending on their business needs. Once we have the infrastructure in place and you have completed testing, we will schedule a cut-over date that minimizes business impact.

Administration and connectivity are also included in the quote.Our team of IBM power experts will work with to do an inital build of your workloads in our cloud.
